What is SNAP? It is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Just bring your LoneStar Card to the Welcome Booth and tell the attendant how much you want to spend. You will be issued wooden tokens each worth $1. Spend them at the market on SNAP eligible items. What items are SNAP eligible? The same things eligible in any store – fruits, veggies, breads, muffins, honey, nut butters, coffee (bagged), eggs, pickles, jams & jellies and more. Did you know edible plants and seedlings are SNAP eligible? You can plant a small garden and feed your family all spring… tomatoes, peppers, melons, etc.Does every vendor take SNAP?
