Texas Bakehouse officially hung its sign in April of 2021, but unofficially began long before then. Kaycee Schairbaum, the owner and operator of Texas Bakehouse, began her baking career in 2013 at a sandwich shop.
Inspired by the art and science of bread, she began experimenting with sourdoughs and pastries in her home kitchen. She went on to work at several high-end kitchens and bakeries in Austin, where she grew her skills in the area of French pastries and expanded her knowledge into new fields such as cake, pasta, and breads of all varieties. Her absolute love of baking goes into everything she makes, from croissants to cruffins (croissant muffins).
Kaycee’s goal is to be the primary supplier of delicious French pastries, desserts and savory items for local businesses, family gatherings and special events in the Nacogdoches and surrounding areas.
